Hit and run victim dies

By BBN Staff: BBN has been reliably informed that Christian “Swanka” Charles, 26, passed away sometime between last night and this morning.

Since April 14, he had been hospitalized in a critical condition after he was knocked down near the bridge in Burrel Boom village.

Early this month, his mother flew into the country from the USA to join a vigil for his speedy recovery.The driver of the motor vehicle which knocked him down never stopped to provide any assistance to him.

Charles sustained severe head and body injuries and wasn’t discovered until three hours later, around 6 AM, by a vehicle traveling into the village.

At this time, the identity of the person who knocked him down remains unknown and that fugitive from the law remains at large.
