PUP announces conventions in Corozal

BBN Staff: The People’s United Party (PUP) is now in its convention season, fielding Standard Bearers for all constituencies in the next general election.

Over the weekend, the PUP endorsed four standard bearers.

On Friday, April 20, a convention was held in San Narciso village, endorsing Ramiro Ramirez as the new Standard Bearer for Corozal Southwest.

On Saturday, supporters of the Stann Creek West constituency gathered in Hopkins village to witness the endorsement of Rodwell Ferguson as the new Standard Bearer.

On Sunday, a joint convention was held in San Antonio,Toledo to endorse Mike Espat and Oscar Requena as Standard Bearers for the Toledo East and West constituencies respectively.

Two conventions are scheduled for this coming weekend in Corozal Southeast on Friday, and Corozal North on Saturday.

The release that the PUP issued today did not specify if the upcoming conventions are being contested or held as endorsements.
