By BBN Staff: Mexican nationals Belen Hernandez, 26, and Lionel Rodriguez, 31, reappeared in court yesterday to answer to the charge of theft.
Their charges date back to January when they were accused of stealing over $100,000 from Atlantic Bank accounts countrywide.
During trial, Magistrate Patricia Arana dismissed the charges against them because no disclosure was ever made available to them.
However, before they were able to walk free, they were slapped with new charges.
Hernandez, now accused of two counts of theft of $300, maintained his innocence.
Rodriguez, accused of five counts totaling $2,900, pleaded not guilty.
The men were both denied bail and remanded to prison.
They are to return to court on the 28th of May.
