By BBN Staff:Belizean boxer, Jarrel ‘Big Baby’ Miller was successful in his recent bout at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday night beating French boxer Johann Duhaupas by unanimous decision and setting the stage for a heavyweight title fight with current unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Miller, with a record of 21-0-1, entered the ring wearing a Black Panther mask. Miller was especially impressive in the fight, landing 261 punches compared to Duhaupas’ 128, and 185 power punches compared to 67. Two judges scored the bout 119-109, the other 117-11.
Immediately following the fight, Miller said: “I’m ready for Anthony Joshua. Let’s bring him to Brooklyn and show him how we do it.”
Duhaupas is a renowned former European Union heavyweight champion and currently the World Boxing Council Silver Weight Champion.
Miller also gave a shoutout to his native home-country Belize and said he was craving home-cooked Belizean rice and beans. Miller was born in Belize and migrated to the US as a child at the age of 6. While visiting Belize in January, Miller said whenever he is here he “will always feel at home”.
