Minor Charged for murder of San Pedro businessman

BBN Staff: Police say that a minor, aged 17, has been arrested and charged for the murder of San Pedro businessman Reniery Adalid Figueroa Garcia.

Head of the Police Crimes Investigation Branch (CIB), Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, explained yesterday that the minor was charged over the weekend, and that police are looking for another man in connection with the incident.

Cowo also confirmed that Garcia was not killed in the furtherance of a robbery because there was nothing taken from him or his shop.

Garcia was killed on Thursday, April 26, when the minor allegedly came into the store along with another man shortly after 8 p.m. and fired several shots, one of which hit Garcia in the forehead and killing him instantly.

The other suspect is still at large.
