Police-constable chopped to the head and left leg in Maya Mopan

By BBN Staff: On Sunday, April 29, police constable Brian Shal,27, reported to authorities that he was involved in an altercation with four men in Maya Mopan, Belmopan which resulted in injuries to his head and left leg with a machete.

Shal told police that he managed to escape and was taken to the Western Regional Hospital where his injuries were classified as ‘grievous harm’.

He has since recognized one of his attackers.

Police investigation continues.
