By BBN Staff:Our newsroom has confirmed that more than 11 persons have been terminated from the Belize City Council.
They were reportedly called to the Human Resources this morning for their termination letters.
Among those terminated were Candice Miller, the former City Administrator who signed a contract just before the 2018 municipal elections for more than $90,000 per year.
Also terminated was Cecil Jenkins, who was a senior staffer at the Sanitation Department.

Hyde is also the brother-in-law of Belize City Mayor, Bernard Wagner.
Wayne Samuels also received his letter of termination. He is the brother of former Deputy Mayor, Dean Samuels.
Lisbeth Butler, who was the Office Manager in the Office of the Mayor, was also terminated.
Our newsroom contacted the Belize City Council for comment but no response has yet been forthcoming.
