By BBN Staff:In a very unusual case, a Corozal firefighter was fined and released after being charged with armed robbery.
He is Anthony Alexander Patnett,28.
On Saturday afternoon, he entered a Chinese store on 7th Avenue in Corozal Town.
With a mask on his face and a gun in his hand, he ordered the cashier to cough up proceeds from the day’s sale.
The entire incident was caught on camera and the video footage even showed when he exited the store and rode away on his bicycle.
Yesterday he appeared in the Magistrate Court and pleaded guilty to the crime. He was released on bail of $3,000.
