One of 4 accused murderers set free

BBN Staff: Luis Campos, one of four men charged with the murder of a San Pedro taximan is now a free man.

In April 2015, forty-two-year-old San Pedro taxi driver Jose Beltran was shot to the back of his head inside his vehicle in broad daylight.

Reports are that Beltran was tied up inside his taxi van and shot to his head with his vehicle still running.

The four men charged with the crime were Luis Campos, Mark Arzu, Santos Garcia and Alfredo Trapp.

Yesterday the case against Campos was dismissed after a ‘Nolle prosequi’ ( will no longer prosecute) due to a lack of evidence.

The other three men remain behind bars.
