Union members believe in Mose

BBN Staff: The Christian Workers Union (CWU) is representing two of the six employees that were terminated from the Belize City Council.

Last month, the CWU elected its new President, firebrand activist Evan Mose Hyde.

Hyde is the brother of PUP Deputy Leader Cordel Hyde and also the brother in law of Mayor Bernard Wagner.

In an interview with 7 News, Former CITCO employee Cecil Jenkins Sr was asked if he still has full confidence in the CWU.

Jenkins informed that he believes in Mose and that at a meeting with union members, Mose also made his position clear. According to Jenkins, Hyde said: “if they touch one they have to touch all. We won’t make the one to fight for them self, all of us will fight together………..’yes I am Bernard Wagner’s brother in law’, but that’s not my heartstring, that’s my sister’s heartstring. If Bernard Wagner tries to disrespect any member of his union, he said that he will have to have a battle with him.”

Jenkins is one of six employees that were terminated from the Belize City council.
