GOB and Caribbean Development Bank launch capacity building programs in Belize

By BBN Staff:The government of Belize in collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) launched a series of capacity building programs today in Belmopan.

The aim of the programs is to further strengthen the human resource capacity and competence of public officers at the technical, middle and senior management levels in the areas of Public Policy Analysis and Management and Project Cycle Management.

The capacity building programs are critical to the implementation of the government’s Capital Investment Programs (PSIP), monitoring and evaluation, and in particular the implementation of the Growth and Sustainable Development Strategy (GSDS).

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Economic Development and Petroleum, Yvonne Hyde said that the training will significantly contribute in increasing ownership of the project cycle by relevant stakeholders.
