Health Ministry receives US $170,000 from Taiwan

BBN Staff: Yesterday, an award ceremony was held by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to honor dialysis nurses from the Dialysis Units from both the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) and La Loma Luz Hospital.

The recognition was in collaboration with the Renal Failure Prevention Project, an ongoing three-year project with a total budget of approximately US $2.2 million.

Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, H.E. Charles Liu also handed over to Belize’s Health Minister, Pablo Marin, a disbursement of US $170,750 toward the on-going Renal Failure Prevention project.

The Ministry congratulated the nurses and the respective institutions.
