Police issue report on man found floating in sea

By BBN Staff:Yesterday around 10:30 a.m., police visited Harvest Caye where a man’s body was found floating in the sea.

There were no visible signs of injuries.

The body was identified as that of Juan Cordero Caducio, 73, of Placencia village.

According to police, sometime on Sunday, May 13,  Caducio left to go fishing alone in his skiff and never returned.

Caducio was pronounced dead upon discovery by a medical officer.

The body was retrieved from the sea and transported to the Southern Regional Hospital Morgue where it awaits a post-mortem examination.

Police are investigating.
