A Taste of Belize in Chicago

BBN Staff:Belizean cuisine will be featured at this year’s ‘Taste of Chicago’ event being held on July 11-15 at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) announced that this year’s food extravaganza at Grant Park will feature a total of 73 restaurants.

Of the 73 restaurants, 26 of them are first timers at the event. The extravaganza is expected to include a number of vendors, pop-ups and food trucks all displaying a variety of delectable foods.

Of the 26 newcomers that will be present, a Taste of Belize will be present with our very own Garifuna Flava: A Taste of Belize. Other newcomers include Arun’s Thai Restaurant, Blackwood BBQ, Sun Wah Barbecue Restaurant and much more. Restaurants like Bouna Beef and Orignal Rainbow Cone have been a part of the extravaganza and will be returning.

Admission into the ‘Taste of Chicago’ is free. Beverages and food however are available in strips of 14 and cost $10. Smaller portions will cost $3 or less. For more information visit the website tasteofchicago.us
