Police charge taxi man for manslaughter

BBN Staff: Yesterday, police arrested and charged Earl Wright,46, a taxi driver of Camalote Village for manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, failure to stop and render aid, and driving his vehicle without due care and attention.

Wright is accused of hitting Silvia Zavala on Friday night near Mile 45 on the George Price Highway.

Zavala was driving her motorcycle when she was hit from the back by a taxi and flung off the cycle. She died as a result of the injuries.

Wright then fled the scene.
