Belize’s Opposition Leader congratulates Barbados’ PM Mottley

BBN Staff:Belize’s Leader of the Opposition, John Briceno sent a letter to Barbados’ first female Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley yesterday.

Briceno extended congratulations to Mottley for making history in the Caribbean country with her historic victory for the Barbados Labour Party.

“ Belize and Barbados enjoy a very special relationship, rooted in our common history, deep cultural ties, as well as our Caribbean identity,” Briceno noted.

Furthermore, Briceno said that he looked forward to working closely with Mottley and her government in the years ahead as they work together for the betterment of the lives of the people of Belize and Barbados.

Briceno and the PUP extended their best wishes for Mottley and the people of Barbados.
