By BBN Staff: Reports to BBN say on Thursday evening around 5:30, two police officers at the San Ignacio police station were involved in an altercation, which reportedly escalated to the point that one officer threatened the other with his weapon.
Details of the incident are sketchy, however, the department’s Media Relation Unit confirmed the incident and said it is being handled “internally”.
However, sources have informed us that one of the police officers intends to press charges against his colleague.
Immediately after the incident, the accused officer was reportedly transferred to the Belmopan police station.
