By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health had been conducting inspections of pharmacies across Belize to enforce laws in relation to the sale of medicine.
In an interview with News 5 yesterday, Director of Health Services, Dr.Marvin Manzanero informed that four pharmacies in Cayo and Stann Creek Districts were closed down.
The pharmacies have been operating without a certified pharmacist and were selling unauthorized drugs.
Manzanero informed that the legislation is from 2016 but they are now enforcing it. He also stated that the exercise will be done countrywide.
