By BBN Staff: He returned to the Belize Times as editor in August 2016, but today BBN can confirm that Mike Rudon has submitted his resignation from the post.
His resignation letter delivered today will take effect at the end of this month.
According to our sources, Rudon’s exit is on amicable terms and is not connected to any of the recent rumblings inside the party making preparations for General Elections 2020.
Rudon has no gripes with the party’s leadership and according to sources, he has enjoyed a working relationship with the party dating back to 1997.
Rudon, dubbed one of the country’s most prolific political writer, is taking a break from the political arena, sources close to him disclosed.
With his departure, he will continue a career in journalism but will undertake freelancing.
