By BBN Staff: This morning around 3, the Rhaburn family bid farewell to Samuel Rhaburn in Crooked Tree Village.
Rhaburn was the first UDP Area Representative for Belize Rural North.
He served the constituency for two consecutive terms from December 14, 1984, until June 30, 1993.
“Sam”, as he was fondly known, also served as a Deputy Minister of Government in the first UDP Administration (1984-1989).
Edmund Castro, the current area representative for Belize Rural North today informed that Rhaburn will be laid to rest in a state funeral with the date yet to be announced.
“You have fought the good fight, Sam, and you have finished the race. Your prize awaits you. RIP,” Castro stated.
May he rest in peace.
