By BBN Staff: Yesterday morning, before 10:00 a.m., Belize city resident Nimrod Fitzgibbon, 26, was riding his bicycle near the corner of Armadillo and Dolphin streets when he was shot to his leg.
According to police, Fitzgibbon was shot to the left calf and right leg.
He had gone to purchase food and was making his way to Fairweather street when he saw someone in the Queen Square primary school compound.
That person opened fire on Fitzgibbon and injured him.
He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) to receive treatment. No one has been detained.
Police investigations continue.
