Belize city man shot on Fairweather street

BBN Staff: Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred yesterday morning in Belize city.

Shortly before 10:00 a.m., Nimrod Fitzgibbon, 26, was riding his bike on Fairweather street toward South Creek when a man inside the Queen Square primary school compound fired several shots in his direction.

Fitzgibbon was shot to the left calf and right leg.

He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted in a stable condition.

Police are investigating.
