Belize represented at World Cup 2018 in Russia

By BBN Staff: The official ceremonies for the 2018 World Cup games in Russia kicks off inside the Luzhniki Stadium in Russia on Thursday, June 14.

Belize is currently being represented in Russia by two delegations.

The President of the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), Sergio Chuc along with executive members of FFB; Marlon Kuylen, Cruz Gamez and executive member of the Premier League of Belize (PLB), Godfrey Arzu.

While in Russia, the delegation is scheduled to attend both the CONCACAF Congress as well as the FIFA Congress to decide the venue for the next world cup.

Belize is also being represented by an entourage led by Chairman of the Cayo Football Association, Alvin Trapp and  Ladrick ‘Mad Bull’ Sheppard, chairman of the Orange Walk Football Association.

Two twelve-year-old Belizeans, football player Joseph Waight Jr. and journalist, Christopher Young are there to observe the event.

The Belizean delegation will then attend the inaugural ceremonies at Game 1 of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Belize’s participation in Russia 2018 comes courtesy of FIFA and all expenses incurred by delegates will be covered by FIFA.
