Assad Shoman’s new book launches countrywide

By BBN Staff:  Belizean writer, historian and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Assad Shoman launched his new book on Friday, June 8 at the Image Factory in Belize City. Story here:

“Guatemala’s Claim to Belize: The Definitive History”, has been described as essential reading for our times, for students and for readers to understand the complex historic background of Guatemala’s claim.

Shoman’s book tour will be done countrywide with an official book launch in each district.

Tonight, Shoman will be at the Muffles College auditorium in Orange Walk for the launching of the Book.

On Wednesday, he’ll be at the Corozal Town Hall at 6:00 p.m.

On Thursday, June 14, at 3:30 p.m. Shoman will present the book at Galen University’s Harpy Auditorium.

The book will be launched on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 7pm at the Sacred Heart College  in San Ignacio Town.

Next Tuesday, June 22, the book will officially be launched in Punta Gorda at the Toledo Maya Land rights commission office.

Founder of the Image Factory Foundation, Yasser Musa, today informed that dates and places will be finalized for Benque Viejo, Santa Elena, Dangriga and San Pedro.

Shoman’s new book is launched in the wake of an on-going education campaign by the government of Belize about Guatemala’s long standing dispute on Belize’s continental, insular and maritime territory.

Entrance to the launches are free.

Books are on sale at each launch for $30.
