Belizeans busted in US immigration raids

BBN Staff:  Several Belizeans were among a group of illegal immigrants busted over the weekend in two immigration raids carried out by authorities in the United States.

Between June 9-10, the Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents, in collaboration with Hidalgo County Constable Office Precinct 4 in the State of Texas, made two busts which lead to the discovery of 159 illegal immigrants being kept in ‘stash houses’.

The first operation held in Mission, Texas, led to 50 immigrants, while the second, hit three stash houses in Donna, Alamo, and Edinburg, landing 109 people.

The Belizeans were among other Central American nationals such as people from Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Ecuador.

According to the online publication Conservative Daily News, those caught will be given medical attention and then processed in accordance with US immigration laws.
