According to reports, the plane was flying at a low height over Xaibe and Calcutta going toward the direction of Patchakan village.
The villagers heard the plane and gathered outside looking to see the direction it would go.
Local Chetumal media, Linea de Fuego reported that the plane was also seen flying over Mexican territory near Ramonal.
Several eye witnesses reported seeing the plane going through the airspace of Patchakan, Santa Cruz, Chan Chen and areas close to the Rio Hondo.
The article further reported that Belizean law enforcement authorities were informed but did not arrive after countless reports.
Recently, the Northern districts of Belize, bordering the Rio Hondo has been notorious for the landing and unloading of suspected drug planes.
