By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Bureau of Standards informed of a decrease in the price of Regular gas.
This is the first decrease in fuel prices for this year after consistent increases in prices.
Regular now goes from $11.35 to $11.02, with a 33 cent decrease.
All other prices remain the same.
Belizeans had expressed concern after the constant increase in fuel prices and the Government of Belize had indicated that recent increases in fuel prices were due exclusively to the global acquisition costs for fuel, which had skyrocketed in recent months.
However, since world oil prices are reducing, Belizeans can expect to see a decrease in pump prices with the next shipment, which is due by the end of next week. Story here: https://www.breakingbelizenews.com/2018/06/12/dont-blame-the-government-for-fuel-prices-says-finance-ministry/
