Saturday night altercation ends in shots fired

BBN Staff:  Belize city police have detained a suspect who reportedly fired several shots and damaged a vehicle following an altercation at May Garden Park in Belize city on Saturday after 11:00 p.m.

James Wagner, 34, reported to police that he was involved in an altercation with several persons who left and later returned, firing several shots.

Wagner hid behind his vehicle for shelter but later realized that several shots had hit it.

Police have since detained one person for the incident.

Police investigations continue.
