San Pedro business robbed of $8,000

By BBN Staff:  Yesterday morning, just as the office of the Insurance Corporation of Belize in San Pedro opened, an armed robber entered and demanded cash.

The four staff members inside the Nation Wide Cash express area (located in the same office) were held up by the lone assailant.

The robber took $8,000 from the cashier then escaped.

According to reports, there were no customers inside the office and no-one was injured.

San Pedro police have detained one suspect.
