Man robbed in bathroom at bar in Silk Grass

By BBN Staff: A tour guide from Franks Eddy village, Jose Hernandez, reported to police that on Saturday while he was socializing at Whispering Pines Restaurant and Bar in Silk Grass village around 12:15 a.m., he was attacked and robbed.

According to Hernandez, he was in the bathroom when he was approached by two men, one of whom pointed a gun in his direction.

The thieves stole $1,025 from him and a scuffle ensued between the men and Hernandez.

A shot was then fired from a .38 revolver, which fell on the ground after both culprits tried to escape.

The gun was handed over to Hopkins police and investigations are ongoing.
