By BBN Staff:  A watchman is in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) after he was found stabbed, and left for dead, while on duty.

He has been identified as Clifford Welch, a career watchman at St. Luke’s Methodist primary school in Belize City.

Reliable information from the school indicate that early this morning Welch was found with injuries to his head and several stab wounds to his body.

He was transported by ambulance to the KHMH for medical attention.

Police have not yet issued an official report but it is believed that Welch was attacked sometime between last night and early this morning.
