By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Bureau of Standards informed the public of a decrease in the price of diesel gas.
The price per gallon will go down from $10.97 to $10.75, a decrease of 22 cents.
This is the second decrease in fuel prices for this year.
Last week regular gas saw a 33 cent decrease per gallon.
Belizeans had expressed concern after the constant increase in fuel prices and the Government of Belize had indicated that the recent increases in fuel prices were due exclusively to the global acquisition costs of fuel, which had skyrocketed in recent months.
However, since world oil prices are reducing, Belizeans can expect to see a decrease in pump prices with the next shipment, which is due by the end of next week.
