By BBN Staff: Today, the staff of Eastern Division Region One took twenty-five students on an educational tour.
The purpose of the tour was for the students to interact with law enforcement officials and to be exposed to a different environment.
The students toured the Belize Defence Force Air Wing at Williamson hanger in Ladyville.
According to Region One Commander Senior Superintendent Howell Gillet, the department also intends to implement the Gang Resistance and Education Training (GREAT) program to help the at-risk youths.
“We wanted them to see who they could become if they stay the course of a positive life and stay in school, “Gillett stated.
