Valerio Aragon charged in connection with home invasion in St Matthews Village

BBN Staff:  Police have charged Valerio Aragon, 25, with aggravated burglary,
aggravated assault, and breach of a protection order in connection with
the Saturday night home invasion in St. Matthews Village.

Bibiana Cruz told police that she was at her home in St. Matthews
village when two men entered.

One of the men was armed with a firearm.

The men then searched her home and made off with her jewelry and Ford
Ranger pickup truck.

However, a police operation in Hattieville led to the recovery of the truck.

The driver, Aragon, was subsequently detained.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvette, said that prior to the incident, Aragon had
resided at that address.
