By BBN Staff: The Bishop Martin Neighborhood Watch in Santa Elena Town is the longest standing and most active neighborhood watch in the San Ignacio/ Santa Elena Community and in the entire Cayo district.

The group has embarked on a recruitment campaign to encourage community members to become active participants in society.

Yesterday, members of the executive committee visited residents in Santa Elena Town to invite them for a public meeting that will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 7 pm at the Rotary Park in Santa Elena Town.

The committee has been actively involved in planning and conducting family days, sports events, clean-up campaigns, among other family and community-oriented activities.

The committee also works hand in hand with police officers from San Ignacio Town for a better and safer community for all residents.

The organization was founded in 2011.
