Altercation between two men in Georgeville bar leaves one wounded

BBN Staff: Around 12:45 a.m., on Saturday June 30, San Ignacio police responded to a stabbing incident involving Marvin Gevara and Leryl Smith at a bar in Gerogeville, Cayo.

According to police, the two men got into a fight and Gevara was stabbed four times by Smith.

He was transported to a local hospital where he is reportedly in a stable condition.

Police have since detained Smith pending charges.
