By BBN Staff: The Image Factory Art Foundation today announced the latest book presentation, Keron Flies His Kite, written by Harold Young and illustrated by Marvin Vernon.

The presentation will be held this Friday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. at the Image Factory.

The children’s book is a beautiful tale for those who love the outdoors and see the power of play and doing things in the now.

The book is inspired by the flavor of community that kites provide.

The overall message is ‘you can’t wait for tomorrow – today is the day’.

The story begins: “Keron really loves kites, but does not have one of his own.”

Through each page of the book, readers are taken through colorful illustrations and tender language where the reader follows the journey of hope though the eyes of a young boy.

Harold Young is an assistant professor at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, USA.

His research area is in Public Law. Previously he was a health communications manager, a social worker and practiced law in Belize.

Marvin Vernon is a Belizean artist and illustrator. His first major illustration project was Climb, Walk, Dive: The Adventures of Rowan Garel, which was published in English and Mandarin.
