American retiree shot to the head in San Pedro

BBN Staff: San Pedro police are investigating the shooting of an American retiree in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

According to reports, this morning around 11:30, Cliff Kirk,60, a retired American of North San Pedro was walking down the steps of his house when he was approached by four masked men.

One of the men shot Kirk to the left side of his head.

The 4 culprits then went inside the house and stole a 9mm gun, a 12 gauge shotgun, and a briefcase with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The culprits then escaped on a jet ski.

Kirk was transported to Belize City for medical treatment and is listed in a critical condition.

Police are investigating.
