Thieves take over $13,000 in cash and items from Corozal free zone

By BBN Staff: Corozal police are investigating a burglary at the Corozal free zone.

According to reports, Ali Ahmad Mourad, 37, a manager of Yassin International Company reported that on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, around 7 pm, he locked up and secured the business place then left.

Yesterday morning when he arrived at the business, he saw a hole in the zinc wall. The hole measured 3 ft in height and 2 feet wide

When he checked, he saw that the place had been burglarized and culprit/s stole 55,000.00 pesos, $500 American currency, $100, and an assorted amount of clothing amounting to 60,000 pesos. 

The total approximate value of the items stolen is $13,877.

 Police are investigating.
