Corozal police find trove of weapons, drugs and ammo in Chan Chen

BBN Staff: Corozal police made a significant bust of weed, firearms and ammo yesterday in Chan Chen village.

Around 5:00 yesterday evening, police were on operation when cops found a white sack with over 78 pounds of weed,  300 Eagle brand .223 rounds, 281 Remington brand .223 rounds, 100 Aguila brand .223 rounds, 1,000 Luger brand .9mm rounds and 53 Aguila brand .9mm rounds; 13 Aguila brand 12 gauge cartridge, 40 .38 rounds, 1 SLR round and 104 A-K 47 rounds.

Additionally, police found 12 empty AR-15 magazines, one empty AK-47 magazine, one pump action riot gun, a pump 12 shotgun and a black AR-15 with no serial number. Police also found a black bulletproof vest, a beige bulletproof vest, a black ammunition jacket and a grey waist magazine pouch.

All items were deposited as found property.
