By BBN Staff: The Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA), in partnership with the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE), will be conducting a two-day Market Intelligence Training Workshop for local business owners who are currently exporting or interested in exporting to international markets.
This training falls in line with BELTRAIDE’s National Export Strategy 2015-2019, which aims to address export development issues by facilitating capacity building exercises that promote exporters penetrating new and diversified markets in an effort to involve the country in the global added supply chains.
Participants will gather at the Belize Training and Employment Centre (BTEC) on Thursday, July 12 and Friday, July 13 to learn about the tools needed to:
i) Assess their company’s Export Readiness
ii) Find high-quality sources of information on markets of interest
iii) Identify Market entry requirements
iv) Select an ideal distributor in one’s target market and price products for export
Representatives of CEDA, BELTRAIDE, the Belize Bureau of Standards, and the Belize Intellectual Property Office will conduct presentations during the course of the workshop, which will aim at better equipping individuals with the knowledge necessary to utilize market intelligence tools in order to make informed business and export decisions that will propel their companies towards success.
