By BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department yesterday issued a preliminary report on the national re-registration exercise currently underway.

The report is provided for July 2-7, 2018.

Registration centers were opened to the public on July 2 in all 31 electoral divisions countrywide to facilitate the acceptance of applications for the registration of electors.

Political parties’ scrutineers were present at most of these centers to observe the registration process.

During the period, a total of 16,670 applications have been accepted.

The Department assures the public that all efforts are being made to address the concerns regarding the re-registration process with the aim of making it more efficient and effective in the service delivery.

All qualified persons are being encouraged to participate in the exercise.
