Strong winds flip parked Tropic Air plane in Guatemala

By BBN Staff: According to reports, a Tropic Air plane with flights from Belize City to Flores, Guatemala flipped over around 5:25 p.m. today.

The incident reportedly occurred while the plane was parked on the tarmac.

Passengers had already disembarked the plane when sudden gusts of wind and rain set on the Santa Elena-Mundo Maya Airport in Flores, Petén, causing the airplane to flip.

In the photos provided to Breaking Belize News, the airplane is seen in an upside down position with its wheels in the air.
