By BBN Staff:  During her time as the United States Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires, Adrienne Galanek became a familiar face to many Belizeans for her amicable personality and her dedication to the partnerships made between the United States and Belize.

Today, in a video released by the US Embassy in Belize, Galanek said farewell to the jewel with pictures of memories made in Belize with the government and people of Belize.

“ I would like to thank the people and the Government of Belize for your warm hospitality and the friendships that we have created over the last three years. So many of you have welcomed me into your hearts, your families and your homes. It has been a tremendous honor for me to serve as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim. I have learned so much from you,” Galanek said.

In her recorded statement, Galanek also expressed that she is amazed by Belize’s many unsung heroes, “ The dedication I see when I look around Belize is inspiring. Success stems from great people and great partnerships. I am grateful for the partnerships we have made across Belize and amazed by what our collective team has done.”

Furthermore, Galanek said that she leaves confident that the friendship between the United States and Belize is strong and enduring with a commitment for citizen security, economic prosperity, good governance, environmental protection, health, human rights and education.

“Belize is truly the jewel and it will always shine brightly in my heart,” Galanek remarked.

BBN extends gratitude and best wishes to Galanek.
