Construction store in Corozal District robbed at gunpoint

BBN Staff: On July 16, 2018, shortly after 4:30 p.m., reports were made to authorities by the management of SanFa Construction Supply Store located on San Andres Road, Corozal District that their business had been robbed at gunpoint.

According to police, four armed men dressed in camouflage entered the establishment and demanded the cashier to hand over money.

An undisclosed amount of cash was then handed over and the assailants made their escape in the nearby area.

There are currently no known suspects, however, according to police, the following day another robbery happened at a convenience store around mile 69 on the Philip Goldson Highway which is a remote area between the villages of Buena Vista and Santa Clara in the Corozal District.

Police believe that both robberies are related and investigation are currently ongoing.
