Belize City traffic officer charged for drug trafficking marijuana

BBN Staff:  Traffic officer, Stafford Young, 28, of Belize City has since been arrested and charged for the crime of drug trafficking.

According to reports, Young was riding his motorcycle from the direction of Hattieville Village towards Belize City when police observed him to be carrying two knapsacks and decided to conduct a search on him.

Police discovered 5,499 grams of cannabis in both knapsacks.

As a result, he was arrested and charged for the crime of drug trafficking.
