Women of the Americas donate $20,000 to Cornerstone Foundation in San Ignacio Town

BBN Staff: Today, the Women of the Americas organization donated $20,000 to Cornerstone Foundation in San Ignacio Town.

The Women of the Americas is an organization comprised of wives of Ambassadors of the Organization of American States (OAS).

The generous donation will be used to provide food to underprivileged children in the San Ignacio area.

According to the Cornerstone Foundation, at least one-year worth of meals for the children is being secured with the funds.

The fundraising for the donation was done by Erin Ryan, wife of Belize’s Permanent Representative to the OAS H.E. Daniel Gutierez.

Ryan is a member of the Women of the Americas.

The organizations thanked Judith Apluche, CEO in the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation, for her continuous support.
