Three year old girl shot in the head, her mother shot multiple times

BBN Staff: Ethany Bennett, a three-year-old baby girl, was shot in her head early this morning in Belize City.

According to reports, she was sleeping with her parents inside their Gill Street home sometime after 2 a.m. when a man walked into their yard and opened fire on their house.

Bennett has been listed in a critical condition and remains at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Her mother, Alva Moody, was shot in the buttocks, thigh, and abdomen but remains in a stable condition.

Her father, Roy Bennett, was unhurt by the gunfire.

Police investigations are ongoing.
