Man chopped up in Dangriga dies

BBN Staff:  A chopping incident in Dangriga has left one man dead.

He has been identified as Anthony Picart.

Information to BBN is that sometime after midday yesterday, Picart and another man were both chopped up near St. Vincent Street.

They reportedly received large chop wounds to their bodies and their hands were almost severed.

The men were transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where Picart died early this morning.

Police have not yet issued an official report and BBN is unable to confirm the identity or status of the other man.

Additionally, it is not yet known if both men were attacking each other or if they were attacked by someone else.
