Police youth cadet camp commences

By BBN Staff:  Yesterday, the opening ceremony for the National Belize Police Youth Cadet Annual Camp 2018 was held at the Toledo Community College in Punta Gorda.

The Youth cadet camp brings together cadets from across Belize to learn crucial team-building skills and learn more about how they can contribute positively to their community. During the camp, the Department of Youth Services among others will host several presentations.

 Guest speaker at the ceremony was Mayor of Punta Gorda Town Ashton McKenzie.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams delivered the key address on behalf of Belize’s Commissioner of Police, Allen Whylie.

Other remarks were given by Officer Commanding Toledo Police Formation Francisco Ack, and Deputy Commanding Officer Toledo Police Formation Insp Bernard Reyes.

Over 200 cadets are participating in the camp.
